1st Symposium on Composite Materials and Manufacturing Performance and process are key aspects in research and development of composites. From materials aspect, composites have design flexibility as their distinct advantage. By using combinations of matrices and reinforcements, along with additives and treatments that commonly come with/on them, composites are designed to have high performance in mechanical or physical properties. From manufacturing aspect, techniques and processes are also being developed to realize the composites themselves and to produce the structures or components made of composites. This symposium on composite materials and manufacturing intends to compile recent development of composites from both materials and manufacturing aspects. Reports of any stage of research and development of composite materials and manufacturing are welcome. Also of interest is sustainability issue in composite materials and manufacturing.
